MEASURING GLACIER CHANNEL HYDROLOGY WITH SENSING DRIFTERS
Dr. Andreas Alexander
Dr. Andreas Alexander obtained his PhD in May 2021 from the Department of Geosciences at the University of Oslo (UiO).
His research focuses on glacial hydrology. More specifically, he uses field observations, modeling and satellite remote sensing to gain a better understanding about the dynamics of hydrological systems on glaciers and their connection to glacier dynamics.
ROBOTS FOR KARSTIC EXPLORATION
Dr. Lionel Lapierre
Dr. Lionel Lapierre is associate professor at LIRMM, robotic institute of University of Montpellier. His research focuses on underwater robotics. He recently opened a research initiative on Karstic Exploration, a challenging multidisciplinary action dedicated to underground water resource exploration and management.
EXPLORING OCEAN DEPTHS USING THE ROV LUSO
Andreia Afonso is a ROV pilot at the Portuguese Task Group for the Extension of the Continental Shelf. She is part of a team conducting applied and fundamental marine research and the gathering of large multidisciplinary marine data collection, especially in hydrography, marine geology and geophysics.
