Advancing technology brought robots to the moon, to industrial production and lately into our homes. Yet this progress has not come without drawbacks, as shown by latest research focusing on ethics, sustainability and inclusion in robotics. This section discusses the implications of latest research on the gender gap problematic in robotics. In doing so it looks both at technological, societal as well as organisational and sociological findings that inform and at the same time challenge the gender gap in robotics.
