ARCHIVE

The gender gap is not merely a question of numbers. The discourse about why there are so little women in this field is complex, as it depends on cultural, social and political factors and how they shape our worldview. An interesting way to analyse these deeply engrained aspects is through visual culture (VC). VC refers to the way we use to see and appreciate things; as such, VC deals with questions of what is made visible, who sees what, how seeing, knowing and power are interconnected. The archive collects films, promotional material, educational resources, and other visual resources that show how the way we perceive women's careers in robotics is deeply engrained in cultural and social norms/values.
